Anime North 07~
Kinda came up fast, it's the really big con thats not even in the summer. D: But so far so awesome.

So far:

Friday~
We kinda didn't look at the schedule until Thurs only to realise that the http://www.vgcats.com Vg Cats panel was on Friday. I was going with my friend, Noma, and we're on a mission to get him to sign a picture of our friend. (Holding a "Put me in comic pls <3peirce" sign)

Anyway, we get there, cosplayers galore! Holy crap, everybody dressed up this year, it was awesome. A lot of Death Note, new Naruto, Digimon for some reason? I'll upload pictures some where...Later. There's an amazing Ryuk going around that I saw at a small con months ago. She was dead on accurate (She didn't float tho) Even had this mask she would put over her face for pictures, made her look amazing. Best one: Penny Arcade, Cardboard tube samurai, complete with tube, cone-y asian hat, and wooden sandals. (Which almost got him killed when he ran in front of a truck >.<) I'll get pictures up afterwards. :D

Oh! I have a press pass! It's awesome. My mom works at a newspaper and advertised the con, so we pick up passes. Which means no lines. Not a one. :D Kinda funny when she asked me for photo ID, and I didn't have any... "Oh. Well you look trustworthy, here you go."

Artist alley wasn't as bad this year. It was declining from the last two years... Still the random really bad artist. (No really.) I met one my all time favorite artists once again: http://ethereal-mind.deviantart.com/ Ray Chan,I bought a print from him and want to buy moar. I <3 him...In the non-creepy fan girl sense, but he does remember me. :D

Dealers room was bigger this year. I even got a really big poster of the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, for FREE. I was all "How much?" "For you, free." "...Oh I see." They were giving them out, never seen such big things for free.

Vg Cats Panel:
Me and my friend arrive early, and ran for seats near the front. Not bad seats, my friend moved to sit on the floor tho. He's japanese, so short. :O
A 4chan "Pools Closed" guy sat beside me. Funny thing was he was con Staff. Heh, /b/ is on the inside now.
So uh, how it went:
Scott said hello, we all cheered. We love him we really do. He couldn't find a mic so he used the one in the middle of the hall. Until some tech geekery from the crowd got him one up front. He was going to do a little "How I draw and color the comic" thing, but he lost his pen tablet. So he was "searching for a picture" on his computer, and the entire panel was us laughing at pictures on his computer. Heh. Also asking about his pron...A LOT of questions about his porn.

Half way through we asked about new merch...And he pulled out a Vg Cats book. We all went D: D: D: D: And then the bidding started. I offered underage sex, with "Hey, it's legal in Canada...sorta." The guy beside me offered two burgers, he almost went for it.

Then later on he pulled out the plushie he had been working on. Which kinda looked mutated...but almost cute? It had this weird fringe and tiny little eyes.

Over all it was pretty funny, a lot of internets jokes, a lot of fangirls and gamers and geeks in one room is pretty awesome.

I'm going back today for my prints and photos and some really cool panels. (Or so it seems.)
